Before I went to CACCLC last year I found myself in a state of just going through the motions with my faith. I reached one of those points where my faith was stale, uninspired, and stagnant. I think CACCLC really helped to reawaken my passion for Christ, particularly through the faith-sharing, testimonies, and presence of other Catholics and priests who are also struggling on their journeys to holiness.
— Matthew W.
Although it piqued my interest, I was a little hesitant to go alone ... After much doubt and deliberation, I convinced myself to just go. When I arrived, I was shocked to find so many Chinese Catholics under the age of 50 gathered in one place that weren’t related to me! I felt like I had stumbled into a nest of rare and mythical beings! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming that I didn’t feel out of place at all.
— Jacqueline K.

About the Location

Santa Teresita Youth Conference Center (STYCC) is a Catholic Diocese of Fresno retreat facility located on 25 acres at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Sequoia National Park.

The Spanish-style multi-purpose room is fully equipped with a restaurant size kitchen, a stage and sound system, a projector and large screen, large decorative windows, high ceilings, and restrooms. The two large dorm buildings are each equipped with bunk beds, clean restrooms, and shower stalls. For recreation, there is a swimming pool, basketball court, a sports field, a small recreation room, and many beautiful hiking trails.

Getting there

The retreat center is about 4 hours drive from NorCal or SoCal, in the Diocese of Fresno. Most campers carpool with other local campers on Friday afternoon or night. If you are interested in carpooling, indicate so in your registration form and ExCo can help arrange carpool groups.

When does registration begin for CACCLC 2019? How many spaces are available?
Early Bird Registration begins June 16 for CACCLC 2019. As encouragement for early registration and sign-ups, we provide a discounted price to students and non-working adults by setting the price lower than the actual cost of the retreat. Regular registration begins July 21. Since space is limited to about 100 campers, registration is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

What's included in the registration fee?
The registration fee includes 4 days and 3 nights lodging at Santa Teresita Youth Conference Center, 9 buffet meals (Friday dinner to Monday breakfast), a retreat book, a CACCLC souvenir, a limited edition t-shirt, drinks and snacks, plus materials and administration fees used for the programs during the retreat.

Do I have to be Chinese to attend CACCLC?
Nope! Although the roots of our camp are in the Chinese Catholic community, we welcome friends of any ethnicity to join us at camp. We usually have many non-Chinese friends and family who regularly join us at camp, including those from Korean, Vietnamese, Filipino, Latino, Caucasian, and mixed backgrounds.

Do I have to be Catholic to attend CACCLC?
Nope! You're most welcome to join us, regardless of your faith background. We typically have several non-Catholics at CACCLC and just ask that you be respectful to our Catholic traditions and keep an open heart during all the activities and discussions during the camp.
